SHIPPING & RETURN POLICY

1. Shipping Costs

All orders are shipped free of charge worldwide, regardless of destination.

For deliveries outside the European Union, any import duties, taxes, or customs fees are not included in the purchase price and are the sole responsibility of the customer.

2. Shipping Method

Orders are shipped via DHL or an equivalent trusted carrier.

Once an order has been dispatched, customers will receive a tracking number via email.

3. Delivery Times

Estimated delivery times are as follows:

  • Germany: 2–5 business days

  • European Union: 5–10 business days

  • Outside the EU: 10–20 business days (excluding potential customs delays)

Delivery times are estimates only and may vary depending on destination and customs processing.

4. Packaging and Transport Damage

All sculptures are carefully and securely packaged to ensure safe transport.

If your order arrives damaged or does not arrive at all, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@houseofwit.com so that we can investigate and resolve the issue with the carrier.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

5. Right of Withdrawal (EU Customers)

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party designated by you (other than the carrier), receives the goods.

To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw by means of a clear statement (e.g. email to info@houseofwit.com). The use of a withdrawal form is optional.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send your communication before the withdrawal period expires.

6. Return of Goods

After notifying us of your withdrawal, the goods must be returned without undue delay and no later than 14 days after such notification.

Returned items must be carefully packaged due to their fragile and high-value nature. We strongly recommend using an insured and trackable shipping service.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.

7. Return Costs and Procedure

Customers within Germany and the European Union may use our optional prepaid return label service for a fixed fee of €19.95 per return shipment. This fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

Alternatively, customers may arrange and pay for their own return shipment.

Customers outside the European Union are responsible for arranging and paying for all return shipping costs, including any customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, or other related charges.

8. Refunds and Effects of Withdrawal

If you withdraw from the contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we are informed of your decision.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned goods and inspected them, or until you have provided proof of return shipment, whichever occurs first.

Once received, all returned items are carefully inspected.

If any reduction in value is found due to handling beyond what is necessary to assess the product, we reserve the right to deduct this amount from the refund.

Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise.

9. Non-Returnable Items

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Custom-made or made-to-order products

  • Personalized items created according to customer specifications

  • Any other statutory exceptions under applicable EU law

Custom-made sculptures cannot be returned once production has started.
