About Me

House of Wit is the creative universe of Roderick Wit, a Dutch sculptor and painter with a passion for form, transformation, and theatrical imagery. His work moves at the intersection of the tangible and the symbolic, characterized by a raw, expressive aesthetic.

What began with building carnival floats grew into an international career. As a self-taught artist, Roderick mastered the techniques of sculpture and decoration, contributing to props for major musicals at venues including the Sydney Opera House and the theaters of Hamburg.

Today he works as a painter and sculptor at Theater Münster, while in his own studio under the name House of Wit he creates sculptures and objects that interweave memory, form, and emotion. Each work bears the mark of craftsmanship and personal vision: a continuous search for the boundary between reality and imagination.
